WWII Remington Rand M1911A1 Slide & Misc Parts

I recently saw these M1911A1 parts at an estate sale and decided to take a chance. I believe they are from WWII, but I’m not sure if some of the parts are post-war or possibly aftermarket as well.

Firearms are out of my area of expertise, so I was hoping that someone could give me a ballpark value for the whole group. Any help is appreciated!

The extended trigger is not a GI part.  The rest is GI or modified GI.  The slide is a wartime Remington slide and it looks like the edges have been peened to tighten the slide/frame fit; not a pretty job either.  Looks like 1950s-60s attempts to slick up GI parts for competition shooting.

The barrels are correct for late WWII production Remington Rand. Too bad they didn't have the frame.

Solely my opinion:  I agree with @Rhscott on the slide.  Poor thing.  Slides are a tough sell in general, unless somebody is just going to make a mixmaster on a non-GI frame (Essex, etc).  It’s next to impossible to match color, wear, etc.

Hard to be sure, but it looks like some funny business around that rear sight.  It has - what looks to be - a GI rump’y in it, but the dovetail looks milled out.  This was common in the bullseye shooter craze that extended well into the 70s.  If that slide was milled for a taller / adjustable rear, and somebody just sat that GI sight back in there, it’s basically hooped.

On the High Standard barrels, the bottom one looks polished, so minimal value there.  If the top barrel has a decent bore, that’s a good piece.

The smalls:  The checkered slide stop is nice, as is the short wide-spur hammer (that’s actually a Colt hammer).  The other hammer looks like somebody shaved it down.  A lot of the parts look to have come off of the ‘donor’ RR - like the mainspring housing.  Later RRs used an 8-rib, where Ithaca used a 7-rib.

Priced / sold individually, one maybe could get $400 + / - with some patience, as most guys will want just one part; usually the barrel.  Maybe the MSH and Colt hammer too.  Dunno.

For the lot, take what you can get.

I’ll end as I started:  Just my opinion.
