Joe55 Posted June 2 #1 Posted June 2 Greetings all! Here is an Alpine miniatures figure of a 3rd ID Infantryman that I just completed. This figure was sculpted by John Rosengrant and is in 1/16th scale (120mm). I wanted to represent a member of the 1st BN, 7th IN Regt., during the fight in the Vosges mountains in 1944. Hope you all like the way he turned out. Joe
Proud Kraut Posted June 3 #2 Posted June 3 Joe, that´s another fantastic figure, thanks very much for sharing! Your paintwork is simply awesome. Would love to see a close-up of the soldier´s face.
cutiger83 Posted June 4 #3 Posted June 4 I agree with Proud Kraut. Stunning work! I too would like to see some close ups. ...Kat
Manu-Military Posted June 5 #6 Posted June 5 Fantastic paint job! I wish I was able to do the fourth of this realism. 👍
Joe55 Posted June 7 Author #7 Posted June 7 Here are two more pics (I'm not that good at it), for Praud Kraut and Cutiger83.

ArtyScout Posted June 10 #9 Posted June 10 Very nice work, Joe. The closeups of his face really tell the story. The uniform and equipment are exquisite, and the groundwork really puts it over the top. I always like how Alpine sculpts their figures. My thing is that they always lack in action poses. But still, excellent! Semper Fi. Manny
Joe55 Posted June 17 Author #10 Posted June 17 Thanks Manny, I appreciate it! Yeah, Alpine does really great figures and hopefully they'll come out with some in more dynamic poses. Thanks again! Joe
mikie Posted June 18 #11 Posted June 18 I’ll join the club and give you congratulations on an incredibly lifelike piece of art! mikie

Chariots of Fire Posted Sunday at 02:06 AM #16 Posted Sunday at 02:06 AM Awesome work. Face sculping is off the chart and the painting to bring it to life is extraordinary! Huzzah!!
otter42 Posted Sunday at 04:00 AM #17 Posted Sunday at 04:00 AM I totally agree with all the above comments! The shading and colors of equipment is fantastic. You've got a great eye and steady hand, well done.
