Hello Jerome,

once again, congratulations on a superb collection of items.

You have some remarkable items.

"Duckhunter" is quite a fascinating field.

The variations of the main US commercial items and then the CISO/S.Vietnamese/Korean/Hong Kong..etc made examples make it all the more compelling and a rich collecting avenue.

i have a few examples of the major US made garments, as well as a couple of foreign made examples, but for now here is a US made set i photographed a while ago in a US Advisor reconstruction. For ease of reference this pattern and cut is normally referred to as RN 25334.

This particular set was produced by the "Camouflage manufacturing Co" of Jacksonville, Florida.

This can be deduced by the tag on the matching trousers (shown later).

During August 1960, the above company applied for a Registered Identification Number (RN) to the Federal Trade Commission of the United States, and was issued RN 25334. Garments made by the company in this pattern and cut from 1960 through to 1964 will all possess this RN number and it will be found on the tag sewn to the garment.

These garments are of the 2nd type produced by the company, i have a set of the 1st variant also.

The maker code from where the name originates.

post-109-1186605248.jpg

The hat is quite interesting.

Although a close match in both tones and colour it isn't actually the same pattern...but is is very very close.

post-109-1186605330.jpg

Here is a patrol cap in the matching RN 25334 pattern.

These are actually rather hard to find, much more so than the jackets and trousers which are fairly common.

This example is a US made commercial item.

guillaume le ouf

hello,

just a addon to this great collection...

4rasy7l.jpg

this is a indochina cap utilised by 6 BPC in late war... this is a original from a great grouping...

the cut comes from the Japanese tropical hairstyle... as what the style lasts after 30 years of conflicts!

Hi

Here a set of ARVN Beogam that was used almost by Rangers and some of the ARVN Seals. The cut is like ARVN Fatigue: padded shoulders, elbows and knees. The shirt has 2 squared pockets, the pants 4 pockets. No QM Marking

Generally the VN SEALs wore all kinds of stuff, mostly ERDL in US and VN variations and tigers, maybe early on they might have worn these but I always equate this pattern with early war years.

DEAR COPRAN AND SPIKE

YOUR ARVN CUT BEOGAM SET, IS EXACTLY THE SAME WORN BY THIS VN SEAL

ON YOUR PHOTOS

THIS TYPE OF SET IS NOT VERY EARLY PRODUCT LIKE CISO MADE

MAYBE THIS TYPE IS PRODUCT IN MIDDLE TIME OF WAR (near 1968)

BUT IS HARD FIND SET

IN THE SAME TWILL AND CONFECTION YOU CAN FIND 3 DIFFERENTS CUTS SHIRTS

AND 3 FOR THE TROUSERS TOO

SPIKE,

YOU ARE IN TRUE IS NOT VERY CURRENT TO SEE SOME VN SEALs WHO S WEAR

BEOGAM ,TIGER AND ERDL IS MOST CURRENT

REGARDS JEROME

PS YOU CAN SEE DIFFERENT CUT ON THE PICS

Hi,

Here are pics of my US Cut Beo Gam Cam set. The main difference with the Asian CIDG pattern-cut is:

- Small pocket on the sleeve (No pocket on the Asian Cut)

- Zip Fly (YKK for my pants) instead of button fly

- The pattern has some differences also

Cheers
