kammo-man Posted September 17, 2009 Share #464 Posted September 17, 2009 Patricks is different from memory . Still it looks like a 1960s cut that because of the pocket cut is a little bit different than the norm . owen
AK101 Posted September 17, 2009 Share #465 Posted September 17, 2009 Great thread, thanks to everyone for sharing their treasures  I have been thru it a couple of times trying to see if there are any hard and fast rules to determine BEO GAM from commercial duck hunter pattern. Is there a simple list that could be put together of tell tale signs? THANKS!!

Is there a simple list that could be put together of tell tale signs? THANKS!! Just remind, if the shirt and pants are cut like military uniforms, probably there were designed for military use. it s the easiest way to make the difference between Commercial camo and military stuffs made by tailors

kammo-man Posted September 17, 2009 Share #468 Posted September 17, 2009 MF Beogam is one of the more complex patterns that came out of the Vietnam war . As it is a copy of the WW2 Amercian general issue camouflage pattern , thus sharing many if not all of its characters . However as a result one finds many different prints , fabric weights and construction that appear endless in number . This thread by Jerome is I believe the most through in this planet of some of the common and rare prints in the pattern. Study it well and it will open the doors on this mis-understood and deeply complex subject owen.

Mike Force Posted September 17, 2009 Share #470 Posted September 17, 2009 Hello Owen!, that's what I meant it's a much more multiplex pattern than the tiger's and I'am sure it needs a long time (years & years) to study it!, especially because there is no book or any other specific reference for this camo pattern out there! Thats a kind of pioneer work and so far I guess only Jerome took the most attention on this odd pattern for now! That needs a lot of respect for sure! All the best Mike

Beo Gam pattern is definitively more complex than Tiger Stripe, I think we should make a book to ease their classification. Maybe it s the way to make them more comprehensive (like what has been done by RdJ for tiger stripe for beginner collector). Jerome it s time to disclose to the world your knowledge about the "crocosaure"
