Soelong Posted May 17, 2025 #1 Posted May 17, 2025 Good morning forumn, I hope everyone is doing well. I am hoping someone can help me identify this badge. Looks like a haversack and a bedroll.and has "23" on oack which I am guessing is unit #. If anyone is able to provide me any info on this it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Gary
Soelong Posted May 17, 2025 Author #3 Posted May 17, 2025 Thank you Larry, I was pretty sure someone on the forum would have the info. The folks here like yourself are always so forthcoming with information. I enjoy being able to learn about this material. Thanks again for the help and have a great weekend, Gary
CAC1901 Posted May 18, 2025 #4 Posted May 18, 2025 New York National Guard, early 1900's. Probably 23rd Regt. Not my area of knowledge but this type of .badge occasionally comes up in New York state groups.
Soelong Posted May 18, 2025 Author #5 Posted May 18, 2025 Thanks 1901, I appreciate the help. I thought it felt national guardish. I really like the detail that went into these pieces. Always appreciate the help the forum provides. Enjoy your Sunday, Gary
