Picked up this pilot wing and would like to see if anyone recognizes the pattern. It is a heavy wing and looks to have a silver coating on it, which has worn in areas. Finding are well made, no markings.

Looks like a worn unmarked Blackinton to me.

I have an attributed example of this wing awarded in early 1941 so these were definitely first issued "pre-war".  If these were made by Blackinton, it is a different pattern than the known Blackinton pattern.  I had wondered if these might have been made by the newly identified wing make M.C. Lilley & Co.  All of these I have seen appear to be silver plated brass, and none have had a metal mark or maker's mark.

I have one of these as well.

My opinion it is an unidentified maker thus far.

Nice wing!

I've got one of these with an open "C" catch instead of the roller catch.

When you get a chance can you post photos of your example with an open C catch?
