P-59A Posted April 19 #1 Posted April 19 Much of what is stated strikes me as at worst revisionist or at best picking cherry's out of a pickle barrel. Picking cherry's would be the rotation of British troops from the frontline trenches towards the second and third lines and then back up to the first line. If all of that is true, then great if you were British, but what if you're serving the British from a colony from the empire? Did this hold true for them? WW1 is not in my immediate wheelhouse so I would like to read the opinions of others on if the video is factual or revision. https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/peopleandplaces/10-big-myths-of-world-war-one/vi-AA1CiUmG?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=b595a8514ef24c0aa8c6b80448c9b957&ei=26
atb Posted April 19 #2 Posted April 19 Yes, from what I have read it was the practice at least on the Western Front for the soldiers of all the armies to be rotated in and out of the front lines on a regular basis.

Ok, I'll take that on face value. What about the other 9 "myths"?
