Flea Market Fuze

Picked this fuze up today at the flea market hoping to use it on my 105mm projectile. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit! Threads are too small. 
 

It’s marked M50 Mod 2 and undated. What projectile would this be used for and what time period?

Your fuze is used on US Naval 5"-16" projectiles. Please see attached photos for reference.

I have this 5 inch projectile. I think you need an adapter to get the threads to fit, but since it's been torchcut, fuzes can't screw I to it anyways. I tried to send you a message but the mail said 

 

"gap cannot receive messages."

Need a 16”/50 ? Mine weighs in at just under a ton, with cart.

I was speaking tongue in cheek. I’ll probably trade this Fuze for a 105mm Fuze if I can find someone. Or sell it.
