6" Shell ID

Any help would be appreciated. Appx 155 diameter. Super fine threads for whatever screwed into the top. Notice where the driving band sits. Shell is hollow. Almost like for smoke or gas. Thanks for looking!

WW1 French Canon de 155 mm GPF shrapnel round. I have one just like yours.

I don't believe it's French. Driving band looks more like a 155mm MK1 Shrapnel shell from the US side. Just my guess as it looks very similar to mine. But I could definitely be wrong.
