Thoughts and opinions on my Gentex SPH-3

Hello everyone,

Last Christmas I got this SPH-3c dated 1988, it is in almost perfect condition with few signs of use, except for the U-93A plug cable, which was sadly so damaged I had to remove it. Those being some minor scratching on the top of the shell, some scuffing on the visor housing ( maybe from storing ) and the foam inside the earseals has completely deteriorated. Thanks to the very nice and friendly seller, he also sent a spare outer visor which is scuff and scratch free.

The main reason for this post is that I really want to decorate my SPH-3 in some way, either reflective tape or just some stickers but I don't know if I should do that, that's where I need your opinion/help.

You could do a Coast Guard helmet easy enough. Whit and red reflective tape. Coast guard wings should be available on line.

Heligraphx.com  has a wide assortment of themes you could go with.

Looking at some Coast guard helmets I really like the tape jobs, they seem simple enough, at least some do. Thanks 72psb!
