suwanneetrader Posted April 8 #1 Posted April 8 Hello Friends Suwanneetrader Here. It has been along time since I posted. Wife and I are living at an assisted living in Ocala FL. for approx 3 years. I used to be on this buying, selling, trading and discussing USMC items daily (if total posts still show I had thousands). I attended most every estate or yard sale and auctions in this FL area but now only have fond memories. You new young guys enjoy your hobby to the fullest and do all you can to honor our Vets and keep their memories alive. I just left the apt of a friend who will probably be on that final deployment today. He is Command Master Chief Ralph Wright. He started his Naval Career in San Diego in 1954. He retired Oct 31 1981. I wish I had documented more about him but I know that during his career he was personal Aide to an Admiral, and the #2 Master Chief in the Navy. Rest in Peace Ralph. Your friend Richard
Dave Posted April 8 #2 Posted April 8 Thanks Richard! May Master Chief Wright be remembered for his service. Always glad to have you around, @suwanneetrader
suwanneetrader Posted April 9 Author #3 Posted April 9 Thanks Dave so glad to see you are still kicking. Maybe I can find some things to post about. Right after we sold home and had to move to Assisted Living I called in that big dealer and auction site in Tallahassee, FL, he came to Ocala with Uhaul and I let him just outright buy everything. Some pennies on the $ and I got kind of depressed as some were real museum pieces that I had been proud of. Oh well water under the bridge and maybe it helped some nice guys get a buy like I always looked and hoped for. At least my youngest son took family USMC items but all wife's Ojibwe Indian collection was gone. The tribe wanted it donated and we would have done but they wouldn't put in show case at one of the Casinos with her name . And we had been warned some officals had diverteed other items to theirselves. Richard
