G'day from a very hot Pert - 105 F and raising!

 

Thanks to the "lovely " Perth weather - staying indoors is the wisest thing you can do today- I decided to dig out a few US badges from my collection.

 

Can you please let me know your thoughts about this Sterling pinback Basic EOD qualification badge?  According to the "Medals of America" book " A Complete Guide to US Army Medals- Badges and Insignia - WW2 to Present" by Col F. C. Foster, this badge was approved on 31 July 1951. Any thoughts are deeply appreciated!
