New museum in Normandy near Sainte Mère Eglise open in 2023 .

The D-DAY Collins Museum is located within the Château de Franquetot.
It was the command post of General Collins, commander of the 7th US Army Corps in 1944.

All the most illustrious generals came to this château to finalize Operation Cobra.

Generals Eisenhower, Bradley, Gavin, Taylor, and Barton visited the château.

You will discover various life-size dioramas never before seen in Normandy.

You can admire a collection never before presented to the public!

The collection is exhibited in the right wing of the château, which has not changed since the war, not even the wallpaper!

You will be literally immersed in an authentic atmosphere unique in Normandy...

Accommodation at Château de Franquetot consists of 5 guest rooms and a gîte.

I live in Normandy locally to this museum and I cannot fail to personally recommend it to various visitors,  either directly or by email or through forums.  This is an excellent museum with many original retrieved pieces from the local area, many with original details and filled in such a way that is unseen in many other Normandy museums.

It is one man's passion and the size and quality of the exhibits is extraordinary, and annually during June there is a large militaria fair of dealers and collectors from all over Europe and further afield.

If in Normandy you shouldn't miss the opportunity of visiting and enjoying the large layouts and diorama's.

Regards Kenneth Lewis.
