mysteriousoozlefinch Posted March 13 #1 Posted March 13 I don't know whether this is properly a challenge coin or simply a commemorative coin. 1-279th Infantry from the 45th Infantry Brigade (Separate) participated in REFORGER '87 (Certain Strike) to practice the brigade's role when mobilized. 1-179th Infantry took part in REFORGER '88. It's a pretty decent weight of bronze. The reverse has the Seal of Oklahoma.
Mr Ed Posted March 13 #2 Posted March 13 My thoughts would be a unit commemorative coin given out to all the unit members that went. Way back when, my unit participated in Team Spirit '88 in Korea, and the unit acquired commemorative coins for all that went.

Mr Ed Posted March 14 #4 Posted March 14 Similar style, with unit emblem & related Korean design, also made of bronze as well.
