stucky151 Posted March 13 #1 Posted March 13 Finally managed to pick up a keeper that wasn't moth eaten and crushed. Ive kept an eye out for a decent example for some time now. This example is manufactured by the Army and Navy Co-Operative Company. Unfortunately not named, but an honest, heavily worn example of a single construction P1917 officer bell crown with serge material. The marbled brown patina on the visor leather is a feature I've always admired from others sharing their examples, so Im very happy to find this one.
themick Posted March 13 #2 Posted March 13 an OUTSTANDING and RARE piece. Thanks for sharing it with us. Steve
warguy Posted March 14 #7 Posted March 14 Very nice! Wow, this one and the 1904! I cant wait to see what’s next. Really appreciate you sharing this beautiful example.
stucky151 Posted March 14 Author #8 Posted March 14 Appreciate the comments. It certainly rounds out the early cover collection. Just need to find a brown chin strap for the M1917 khaki before the sight of it drives me nuts.
Lind007 Posted March 15 #10 Posted March 15 Very nice collection you have there! Thank you for sharing.
