Russian POMZ-2 replica / training device ?

Found this at a local flea mkt. It is made by a company that I think is out of business or changed name. Special Devices. I'm not sure if it was made as a military training aid or a movie prop. Has anyone ever seen one of these?

Very cool find.  Definitely a military training aid and one I've never seen  before.  Made by the same company that the 3F65 simulator, an M26 grenade type training aids tested by the USMC and others.
