I was wondering if anyone who was serving in the National Guard about December 1999,

remembers a briefing for E-6 and above? This was for senior NCO's E-6 and above.

Was anyone on here an E-6 or above and was called into a briefing by an unknown Reg Army officer

during drill weekend? All the NCO's E-6 and above got this briefing.

Anyone who was in the guard at that time, have that experience?

Im guessing it was for units all over the country.

I was still an E-5 then, so didn’t go, but it had to be Y2K related. There was really a buzz over that. Nothing happened, dang.

When you state " There was really a buzz over that."

Do you mean the briefing at the armory or Y2K?

Well....no.

It was not about Y2K.

It was something completely different.

I am hoping to hear from some others that were at the briefing

before I divulge what it was about.

Its been around 26 years since it happened

so I think its okay to relay the info.....

I just am hoping some of our other members

were at the briefing to back me up.

Very cool that you remember the briefing

for senior NCO's.

Rock on!

That was my first Drill after transferring into the NY Army National guard. I don't recall anything out of the ordinary.
