Dano49 Posted February 24 #1 Posted February 24 Will try and get this on the right site! Good morning all, I have come across something that I can't decipher, hoping some of you have seen this in the past and can help me out. At SOS this year, I picked up this 314th Sanitation Train, 89th Division, WWI M1917 (ZC 46) with this black barely-legible hand-printed lettering on the front lip. I can't figure out what it is or what it indicates. I did find another example online, (the clear W.b.59 image), that was also on an 89th Sanitation Train helmet with very similar hand-printing, Any ideas what this indicates? Mine looks to be W.b. 39? the other example, obviously W.b. 59, or mine could be 59 as well? Anyway, thanks for whatever info you can provide... as I have no clue. The liner is missing and what is left is pretty much roached out, but a cool looking helmet none-the-less.
