Hello everyone, it's quite a lot of time since I've been looking for an authentic M6 Scabbard and I've found this one for sale at a fair price.
Based on my knowledge it looks like fine to me, the only part that I doubt is the upper strap as the button is on the right while it should be on the left (in fact the seller honestly says that it might have been replaced).
My questions are:
1) Except the upper strap, is it a legit WW2 M6 Scabbard? Any redflags?
2) As the incision "1943" is not very visibile because of age and time, do you know or recommend any light treatment to "restore" the leather in order to make it more visible?
Sorry for the not highest quality of pictures.
Thank you a lot in advance! Here are the pictures:

Its an original WWII era SBLCO M6 sheath . Many of these went to the Norwegians . They lowered the strap to fit theyre weapons . Looking at yours , It appears to be one of the Norwegian modified sheaths , then someone re located a strap back to the original position . I wouldnt recommend doing anything to It . These are fairly scarce sheaths . JMO

I'll second byf41. Hard to find in any form, here in New Zealand. I jumped at the chance of buying a couple of ex Norwegian M6s at a fair price. Pictured is one of them. I confess to being tempted to convert them back to original. But have decided to leave them in their post war format. On this one you can see clearly where the original strap had been.
