ShibaLegend Posted February 6 #1 Posted February 6 Are you, as a civilian with no connection to the military, police, fire department or otherwise and does not have a explosive's permit of some kind, legally allowed to order explosive training aids online for use in a military impression? Felt reenacting was the best place to ask but please move if there is a better place to ask this.
ShibaLegend Posted February 6 Author #2 Posted February 6 To clarify, I mean training aids that are of modern manufacture from places like SVS countermeasures training or ideal blasting supply made to train police or military members. Are you allowed to buy these as a private civilian?
The Rooster Posted February 6 #3 Posted February 6 Not 100%, but I believe anything thats deactivated and inert is legal. For instance, if I wanted a bazooka I could buy one and have it shipped to my front door as long as its deactivated, not able to be fired. Same with ordnance and the like. There are several claymore mine training kits for sale right now online. Wire test unit detonator fake blasting cap empty mine and the carying pouch it comes in. On the flip side, if you are young enough, you could join the Army and wear the real stuff. The stuff people will be collecting 50 years from now!... Use the real things..... :-) Even I as a lowly National Guard Infantryman, I got to prepare and set off Dynamite and C4. You could set it off with det cord or electric blasting cap or non electric. I got a big bang out of it!!! 🤣 lol Cheers!
ShibaLegend Posted February 6 Author #4 Posted February 6 So would something like this be okay to buy?

Maybe filled with plaster? Theres no live fuse in it. Its "Inert" Deactivated. If you can buy a claymore mine training kit, bombs, missiles bazookas machine guns, grenades, all de activated, I'm guessing an inert smoke grenade is okay too. And if it was illegal, I doubt it would be openly for sale. ? They advertise as a replica. Says durable metal etc? Could be 3D printed? Check your local laws though, for justin. If you had the coin, you could buy a deactivated Thompson Machine gun and have it shipped to your door. lol
