Bigrob1911 Posted January 29, 2025 #1 Posted January 29, 2025 Picked this one up cheap recently. All matching except grips. This pistol has an interesting pedicure, I wish it could speak!! It was hard to get the Seattle Police and the civil defense markings in the same pic. Thanks for looking, Rob
Bigrob1911 Posted January 29, 2025 Author #2 Posted January 29, 2025 Forgot to take a pic of the top strap. It’s marked “U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D.”.
Bigrob1911 Posted January 30, 2025 Author #3 Posted January 30, 2025 Found this on the web, pretty cool!!
kfields Posted January 30, 2025 #4 Posted January 30, 2025 Nice pickup and good looking revolver! I also purchased a Navy and CD marked Victory last year for cheap. I was puzzled by the lower price and suspect the seller either was blind (didn't notice the Navy mark) or was put off by the CD mark. Regardless, I really like it!
Charlie Flick Posted February 1, 2025 #5 Posted February 1, 2025 BigRob: That is an interesting Victory variant. Thanks for posting. As you may know. S&W did not ship in a strict, consecutive serial number order. The ship dates appearing in the Victory Model Database near to V522881 bounce around a bit, but my estimate is that your revolver likely shipped in the February, 1944 time frame. Regards, Charlie
