I was at the flea market a few weekends ago and the only thing I found in the entire place was one little ole V-Mail letter. I thought it was interesting enough to share with you. The letter was written by a Lt. Col that had been serving in North Africa to a Captain serving stateside. I will let it speak for itself;               Thanks for the simple offer, but after the  African War we all got German bayonets which are about the right size for toad stabbers. Some lucky ones got Luger pistols , but not me. We scrounged the battlefield for several days after it was over collecting salvage. That was our part in the campaign, we were there but no fighting. We were all plenty sore about that.  I don’t how you could send a bottle of liquor unless you called it hair tonic  or something else like that. Use your imagination a maybe you can work it out. This green wine would even get you down, I think.
