J.Q.M.D. Posted January 21 #1 Posted January 21 Greetings all, I recently acquired a large lot of Indian Wars era leather items and there were well over 100 of these sword hangers in the lot. I can't find anywhere that gives an official designation to them. They appear to be a simplified version the M-1859 "Jeb Stuart" hanger. So, does anyone know? These are pics I pulled off the net, but mine are identical. I appreciate any info!
Tolzer Posted January 21 #2 Posted January 21 Nice find for sure! You have a Saber Attachment, 1855 Pattern. Reference: "Horse Equipments and Cavalry Accoutrements, James S. Hutchins"
