gerard Posted January 17 #1 Posted January 17 Good evening everyone, Here is a small monument in 'Outre Fôret', that is to say to the north of the Haguenau forest link maps.google.fr. It is located at the exit of Rittershoffen next to Hatten and was erected in memory of the battles of June 1940, January 1945 (Operation Nordwind) and March 1945. For Alsace, we most of the time talk about the fighting in the Colmar pocket but we often forget to talk about the fighting in northern Alsace, fights which were nevertheless long and fierce. Time for photos of the monument which is made up of remains of casemates and armored vehicles.
