Got this in a group of knives the other day, have had a few over the years , but don’t remember them with a chrome blade ?

Not chrome, just bright polished. That's how they all came. Even the cheapest knives made during the war probably looked pretty good, I often forget how nice they would have been until I come across a pristine one.  Yours is really nice.
