cagedfalcon Posted January 6, 2025 #1 Posted January 6, 2025 These came in a random group I picked up awhile ago. These were the only photos li%gv;b: I was wondering if they are KIAs?
Snafu44 Posted January 6, 2025 #2 Posted January 6, 2025 Hello, I'm not an express, but I think the gold star means when a family member has been killed in action. Basically, the blue star means that a family member has gone to war. But I'm not sure. Otherwise I found an "Anthony A. Grass" KIA on February 25, 1945. - "Ernest C. Bryson" KIA April 28, 1944. - Charles T. Cooney" KIA, September 19, 1944. For William Young, he has several soldiers of the same name killed in the Second World War. But judging by his uniform, he was serving with the usaaf in the Pacific, so he could be William W. Young KIA, March 12, 1945.
