Titanfan Posted January 6 #1 Posted January 6 Has anyone seen it before? It is not in my possession. I had the photo stored on a drive. If I recall it was engraved and dated 1942 or 1943 on the reverse.
Titanfan Posted January 13 Author #2 Posted January 13 Bump. Has anyone seen one of these before? Or, does anyone know how long they were given out?
Montana40 Posted January 13 #3 Posted January 13 The Coronet Award Army Camera Contest was a photography competition held during World War II by the U.S. Army. It was part of the Army's efforts to recognize and encourage the best combat cameramen1. The contest awarded medals and decorations to the photographers who captured the most outstanding images documenting military operations and life during the war.
Montana40 Posted January 13 #4 Posted January 13 It was an annual event hosted by the 55th Signal Company (Combat Camera) to challenge combat camera personnel and honor their work.
Titanfan Posted January 14 Author #5 Posted January 14 Sir, Thank you kindly! Any idea how many were given out during the War?
