Paul70 Posted January 3 #1 Posted January 3 I picked up a late WWII Navy Nurse ward uniform. The white “scrubs” dress. It has detachable buttons which are missing. Does anybody have one? Could any one measure and give front - back photos of them? They look like they are small, maybe 5/8. thanks, Paul
Armygas Posted January 7 #2 Posted January 7 Paul, Could you post a photo of this uniform? I do not see it in my few references on WAVES. Is there an ID tag with nomenclature and date? I have many types of buttons; most of the closure type are 30L or 3/4, 24L and 20L are usually for epaulettes? cheers, rick
JohnK83882 Posted January 7 #3 Posted January 7 If they're detachable you mean they're regular buttons but with toggles, which look like bobby pins or key rings.
Paul70 Posted January 11 Author #4 Posted January 11 Ok I found a set of buttons. Here are some photos.
Paul70 Posted January 11 Author #5 Posted January 11 The correct buttons are mother of Pearl 3/4 inch with retainer pin. Thanks
Armygas Posted January 19 #6 Posted January 19 Some great photos of this uniform type at: https://www.womenofwwii.com/navy-nurses/ Cheers, Armygas
