NAAS Manteo, NC Training Grounds VF-17

At the Manteo Airport, they have a little display room of artifacts and photos of when WWII came to the Outer Banks. NAAS Manteo was, in reality, the first training area for the Jolly Rogers and their new F4U Corsairs. It's free to public and you might catch a glimpse of some military birds.

That's pretty cool! To be honest, I live 90 minutes from there, but had no clue they had an airport!
