US Navy mounted Compass 1943

I picked this up some years ago don't think I ever posted it before. Issue date 1943. Figure it's for small boats. You can take the top off to adjust it. The compass is a little out of wack tried the adjustment nobs and used my phones compass to try to get it right guess 0ver 70 years of age caught up to it just can't get it right. I cleaned it up a little cleaned the brass plate and repainted it as a winter project years ago.
