27Division18 Posted December 7, 2024 #1 Posted December 7, 2024 Does anyone have information on this unit? Is this the 137th Field Artillery Regiment or Battalion? Does it matter that the "137" is located below the crossed cannons rather than above on this officer collar? Thank you!
atb Posted December 7, 2024 #2 Posted December 7, 2024 Enlisted man's collar insignia, 137th Company , Coast Artillery Corps (CAC), 1905 pattern for the 1902 pattern blue uniform. Worn before adoption of the enlisted collar Disk. Coast Artillery Company enlisted soldiers had their unit designating numbers below the crossed cannons. CAC officer had different style insignia.
