USER SUSPENSION: coolman

Members of the USMF community:

 

Today the administration was unfortunately forced to suspend the account of community member "coolman" due to inappropriate posts and misuse of the private message system.

 

We do not take the banning of a member lightly. The USMF administrators have spent time going through each and every one of this member's posts (including some that were quarantined earlier due to user complaints) prior to making our decision.

 

In the past this member's name has shown up in member complaints. The typical complaint being that coolman makes posts or sends private messages or emails that are personal attacks rather than trying to assist, aid, or inform the member. As a result of these complaints, coolman was warned on February 23, 2009 at 12:30 AM and twice on March 28, 2009 at 7:58 PM and 8:16 PM.

 

Just today, coolman once again sent rude and inappropriate email to member 37thguy, after 37thguy notified coolman he would not be purchasing 5 supposed WWII paratrooper liners for $1000 on a "sight unseen" basis. The email included the following statement "burn your money & kill your self *you & everyone like you*." Clearly this in the fourth known instance in less than 2 months that coolman has acted inappropriate. And, we at USMF do not have time to put up with such childish, inappropriate behavior nor should the membership be subjected to it. For these foregoing reasons, coolman's membership privileges have been revoked..

 

It has been said before and will be said again: The point of USMF is to provide a nice, friendly atmosphere within which members can discuss various aspects of militaria collecting. To fulfill this goal, we hold each and every member to a standard - act like adults. Part of acting like an adult is the ability to facilitate meaningful discussion without angering, offending, and/or upsetting the very people with whom we wish to have discussions. When members demonstrate a repeated inability to adhere to this standard, the USMF administration is forced to ban the member's account.

Additional Information:

Individual claims to be from Greece and have the ability to purchase large amounts of World War II paratrooper liners that were just disguarded in Europe (and in particular he says by the Greek Army).

 

In the future, all members are encouraged to refrain from being baited into arguments either openly on the board or privately in the private message or email system. There are some forums where this inappropriate behavior is applauded, however USMF is NOT one of those places.
