Patching ski parka

Hello all Is there any type of fabric from WW2 clothing or material that can be use to patch a ski parka. Doesn’t have to be spot on. Was thinking an m43 hood and cutting it up.

M43 hood material will be too thick, too dark and shiny

try cutting up one cheap artic hood with the short peak and neck curtain: same Cloth and similar color

Wow. Exactly the input I was hoping for. Worse comes to worse a mismatch color is the sacrifice for keeping it intact. I’m going to look into your recommendation in the meantime. Thanks so much
