Hello everyone, I would like to find items my great-grandfather would have had in India in WW2. 1Lt. Fred Reese was in Chabua, India, as a supply officer for the US Army Air Forces from 1944 to 1945. His service number is O585198. Are there any resources where I could look up his serial number or name for a possible match? Thank You.

Ancestry and Fold3.

You have to sign up but if you do,

you should find info there. You could also contact Golden Arrow

and have them research him for you for a fee.

As long as the records were not lost in the saint Louis fire,

they can find it for you.

Google search USAAF units in India in WWII, look for pictures, Identify which units were there and try to find "cruise" books or other books for those units (some you can find on line) and scour those for pictures.
