trenchbuff Posted December 2, 2024 #1 Posted December 2, 2024 Found this nice set of motor machinist crackerjacks at a local estate sale. I'm still researching the sailor but he enlisted in 1944, served in the Pacific Theater and was discharged around 1948. The jumper reflects the period (around 1947) when uniform regs moved the em dolphins from the cuff to above the left pocket and the size Navy ribbon bars changed from 1/2" to 3/8". There is also a jumper to the same sailor with an engineman rating after the machinists ratings were merged to the engineman rate. Any help with what boat he served on during the war or any other info on C. E. Welch would be greatly appreciated.
