cagedfalcon Posted November 30 #1 Posted November 30 I just received this helmet from Williams grandson. I may be getting his jacket too. Below is a picture the citation William was given. I will have an opportunity in the near future to scan it for better presentation. I haven't seen a heat stamp like this before, is this unusual?
Marchville1918 Posted November 30 #2 Posted November 30 I like the helmet. It is a British helmet. nothing wrong with that as the AEF used plenty of British helmets and gas masks. The insignia on the front is for the 36th Division (Oklahoma, Texas national guard). soldier may have served in more than one unit.
