27Division18 Posted November 29 #1 Posted November 29 Is this a WW2 pilot's jacket of some type? I cannot see a tag inside anywhere and it is a very small size.
warguy Posted November 29 #2 Posted November 29 It has the design elements of a B-10 introduced and in use for a several months in 1944. There are a lot of civilian made ones though. Closer examination of the zipper, pockets, etc and evidence of whether a tag was ever mounted in the collar would help in making a determination on whether this was government contract or not (with a missing label). Good luck.
Allan H. Posted December 2 #3 Posted December 2 Pull the sleeves inside out and see if there is camo HBT material sewn at the cuff. Allan
AustinO Posted December 2 #4 Posted December 2 The B10 had square patch pockets, the B15 had slash internal pockets - but on GI B15s there is a snap closure for the pockets. I think its a commercially available (possibly post war) private purchase coat.
warguy Posted December 2 #5 Posted December 2 Austin is absolutely right on the pockets I didn’t catch that .
