Came across this peculiar M1928 haversack in an auction listing. As you can see, there are riveted strips of leather on the inside. This is something I've never seen before. Unfortunately I can't make out the maker's stamp, but it looks like the 2nd word is "Rose"

also take a look at the tip of the flap closure strap on the meat can pouch, it looks much more aggressively dimpled than usual. I won't go as far as saying it's a reproduction, because why go through the extra effort of adding leather reinforcements when the originals never had them, but I've never seen something like this. Opinions?
