Got these boots from an old farm. Untouched. Brown leather. Are these US ? Which period ? Any help is appreciated !

I would say Dutch boots.  US boots are not in metric…these are “size 42” and I seem to remember KL being on Dutch equipment. Looks like a post war copy of the US high boot of the time.

I think you are right. "KL" could indeed stand for "Koninklijke Landmacht" (Royal Dutch Army).
