Hello, I am looking to uncover more information about my wife's grandfather, who served in World War II. From what I’ve been told, he was partially blind due to a childhood accident and served first as an enlisted soldier before later becoming a warrant officer. To my knowledge, he later worked in the chemical weapons division at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The family knows very little about his actual role during the war, and we doubt he ever served overseas. If anyone can find additional information or documents related to his service, it would be greatly appreciated. His information is below.

James Elliott Norton (sometimes spelled Elliot)

DOB: 05 October 1927

SSN: 214-24-4274
He had two service numbers

ER043028344
WOJG W2200941
