Opinion on 5/45 dated items

[Persian Gulf Command]

Need some opinions about items dated 5/1945? I am rather fixed on keeping my WW2 Inert Ordnance (and other militaria) strictly April 1945 or earlier, when manufacturing dates are available. I have the opportunity to purchase a scarce tank round dated May 1945. The round would have been placed into service during November 1944 and was intended to have been used in the ETO/MTO against German Armor.

 

How do you fellow WW2 collectors feel about having items manufactured the month Germany Surrendered? I would also be interested in price point insight for items with this date.
