Was in a repro first aid pouch when received.

 

Paint is flaking off in sheets and I notice it is not marked to indicate who made it.

Looks good. Mfg'd by the government not a contractor I beleive.  Brass or tin case?

Do they reproduce these?  They're still readily available and cheap.

I swear I have seen them reproduced, but I honestly can't remember where/when I may have seen them.

This one looks good. They are reproduced, but made to open without the seal tab so it can be reused over and over. This one looks like it has the seal in place. It isn’t uncommon to find something like this in a repro pouch, possibly placed there by a reenactor. Original Carlisle kits are very common and easy to come by.
