Altomarevintage Posted October 7 #1 Posted October 7 Not sure if this is the proper place but as I’ve collected a few M65 jackets both Army and USAF. Some tags say dry clean only. This is very hard monetarily to do. Is it ok to wash like the others that do not have that same tag. Thanks in advance
VietnamCollectors2823 Posted October 7 #2 Posted October 7 It should be fine, but I wouldn’t go washing it every day or even every month. I washed one of my jungle fatigues that didn’t have a dry cleaning tag and it came out fine.
Altomarevintage Posted October 8 Author #3 Posted October 8 Amazing thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
Nack Posted November 23 #5 Posted November 23 I’ve washed a lot of stuff in Woolite by hand and it works out fine.
JohnK83882 Posted November 23 #6 Posted November 23 There's a kit for doing something like dry cleaning at home. You get something to put in a dryer and you run your stuff in the dryer with this material and it's like a dry cleaning. https://www.amazon.com/Dryel-At-Home-Dry-Cleaner-Starter/dp/B01BUNJ2HW Also leaving stuff hanging outside in the sun and brushing it down helps. There's also laundry wipes. https://www.amazon.com/Shout-Instant-Remover-Laundry-Stains/dp/B07YCYCTG4
