WWIIBuff1945 Posted October 7, 2024 #1 Posted October 7, 2024 I know its a snoopy patch and LTC Proctor served in Korea and Vietnam. Sorry these are the only pics I have and they are poor quality. The other patches are the unit he served in during Vietnam. I appreciate the help. Thanks Keith https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/199132407/edwin-lowe-proctor
Randy Posted October 8, 2024 #2 Posted October 8, 2024 Some observations: This looks like a pilot training era pic. The aircraft is a T-33 and he looks pretty young, and appears to be wearing low quarter shoes instead of the boots that came later. I looked him up and info was sparse, except to say he graduated flight training in 1952. How do you know it's Snoopy? Since Snoopy had just come out a little over a year before (late 1950) I don't know that it would have made it to a patch so fast, especially in those slower moving days. The two you posted are reproduction SEA era patches, but those designs came much later. It would be really tough to ID from that pic it as they had so many unit, flight, and class patches done you could guess for hours. I'll keep looking, but this one could be tough! Randy
