Salvage Sailor Posted October 4 #1 Posted October 4 NAVAL MOBILE CONSTRUCTION BATTALION TEN MCB-10 IN VIET NAM Camp Shields, Chu Lai, Viet Nam November 1965 In April of 1965, the Men of TEN became the "Pacific Alert" battalion on Okinawa. This was the jumping off point for an amphibious landing at Chu Lai, Republic of Vietnam, on the 7th of May 1965. The SEABEES of TEN landed over the beach at Chu Lai in support of the United States Marines. TEN'S landing marked the first full scale battalion to deploy to the Republic of Vietnam.
