ACH With Norotos Mount and Side Button

Hi all, I recently picked this helmet up at the MAX show. What interested me was that it looks like the helmet was not taken apart when it returned back from overseas, and my ACH collection was lacking an example with a multicam/OCP cover as well as a Norotos mount. Also, while I can't claim who used it, I know the Norotos mounts were not standard issue.

The pictures don't show it too well, but the cover is pretty faded with some dirt marks and is thread bare in a few areas. The mount has a similar amount of wear as do the pads, though the chinstrap definitely shows the most wear and looks more tan than foliage green.

Two things I saw on this helmet that I have not seen before is cut paracord loops under the rear chinstrap bolts and a "button" attachment screwed onto the side of the helmet. I'm assuming these are both for NVG but I'm not sure which model (cover is not for ENVG and lacks a back flap entirely). I have an ACH with a high cut mod that has similar ties, but they're under the front bolts it also as a surefire light which is not what this helmet has at all. Unfortunately, the makers mark was scratched out as was the serial #.

Thank you for reading and would appreciate any information on the ties and side attachment.

The side button is a Streamlight Sidewinder Helmet Mount, for a flashlight.

While the helmet uses a multicam cover and matching mount, the chinstrap and pads are an older UCP model. There were tons of these left over when the army switched camo, so they kept getting issued.

I have seen paracord loops in the rear used to hold the helmet band in place many times, likely these ones purpose.

Yup that light tracks to what I found a few weeks after I got this helmet, happy to have some confirmation on that and the paracord. I've been meaning to get a replacement one, but they're a little pricey and I don't want to mess with the mount too much since it still had a good bit of dirt/sand stuck in the grooves (as ridiculous as that sounds).

Yeah, I've read UCP printed vest are/were still in supply as of a year or so ago even. I wonder if this helmet fits into the time frame of Afghanistan bound personnel receiving the Multicam/Scorpion printed gear. Besides UCP and foliage green being abundant that could also explain why it has that cover with that chinstrap, but I don't want to unwrap the cover to see the contract date.
