M113 driver Posted September 1, 2024 #1 Posted September 1, 2024 Picked this a couple of weeks ago for 50$ at the flea market in Okeechobee Fl. Know it’s a knockoff button it’s in nice shape and I got a pretty good edge on it. all I t says is Japan no company name Anybody know anything about them
WarBaby Posted January 12, 2025 #2 Posted January 12, 2025 Kiffe Japan made but like you said - a knockoff. Quality appears decent among specimens but it’s not a true USGI issue knife.
M113 driver Posted January 12, 2025 Author #3 Posted January 12, 2025 These are true GI issue, bottom row third from the right with rawhide on bottom of the sheath is the one I was issued in 1962, since then I have a acquired a few others over the years.
VNAMVET70 Posted January 12, 2025 #4 Posted January 12, 2025 M113, You and I share a similar passion for iconic Jet Pilot Survival Knives. Started out only collecting Jet Pilot survival knives, until I had one representing every year from 1959 to 1975. Thanks for posting your JPSKs for all to see.
M113 driver Posted January 12, 2025 Author #5 Posted January 12, 2025 I have also been picking up some of these mil-k stainless pocket knives all government issued, I never got issues one of these, I wish I had gotten one back in 62 because the 1962 mil-k 818 knife is almost impossible to fid.
M113 driver Posted January 12, 2025 Author #6 Posted January 12, 2025 This is a 1944 WW ll first year manufacturer for the government.
