WWI Indian Painted Helmet & Banner

Can someone please give me a value on these?  They came together.  I believe this is army, but not 100% sure.  This helmet definitely saved this guys life, there a nice dent on the one side, looks to be a bullet strike.  Thanks!!

Just a guess based on one with a yellow background that was sold 2 years ago without a liner for 175 on eBay.

It is Army. If it is a circle, it is the 23rd Infantry of the 2nd Division. If it is a pentagon, it is the 9th infantry 2nd division. It is hard to tell but I am leaning toward 9th infantry. If it is black, it is HQ. If it is dark blue it is the 3rd Company, again hard for me to tell for certain from the photos. Good luck.

3rd Battalion of the 9th Infantry. The different colors of the background shapes indicated battalions within regiments. Companies were not so delineated.
