Flak M3 Helmet weird painting?

Hello. I would like to ask about painting this flak helmet. Do you think it's a war painting? It's very hard to find any photos of helmets modified like this. What condition does this helmet appear to be in?  Thank you all very much for your help and for your opinion.

Well, it is unique, that's for sure. Iam not saying that it is not a Wartime paint,  but I lean strongly on a post war protest helmet, or flower child,  or  a backyard child warrior type thing.
