knifeguy Posted August 28, 2024 #1 Posted August 28, 2024 I may be abit unfamiliar with the early yellow 60mm with bakelite ge fuse.can anyone show me similar examples on the current market? Not finding any at all
whiskydown Posted October 15, 2024 #2 Posted October 15, 2024 That looks to be as good as it gets if all original, not repainted. Items like this are regularly listed on GB for 100s of dollars but I'm not sure if they actually sell for that. I have bought WW2 60mm mortars with just green paint and steel fuzes for $100 or less.
Persian Gulf Command Posted October 15, 2024 #3 Posted October 15, 2024 Knifeguy, Your yellow 60mm mortar looks original including the paint and roll stamped markings. What is the date on the mortar body? Should be 1942 or earlier. The bakelite fuse is nice but it needs to have a WW2 date to have an appropriate value applied to WW2 ordnance. Un-dated fuses could be and often are post WW2. If everything is dated WW2 I would place the current value around $300-$400.
knifeguy Posted October 16, 2024 Author #4 Posted October 16, 2024 Thanks for checking in guys. I sold it local
